Rapture: Real or Not Real (the Last Day)

Rapture as we've been taught is Not Real such as The Left Behind Series written by Tim LaHaye. A movie series starring Kirk Cameron. This is what we all were taught growing up. All the saved being caught up in the air taken to heaven while the lost will have 7 years to change teams all the while conditions on earth getting gravely worse by the day (after the half way point).

Scirpture talks about a Ressurection to happen on the Last Day! This is REAL

These verses describe what "Christians" think of when they say Rapture, these are the quoted verses when they use to back up their beliefs. They fail to recognize the words sleep and asleep as states of being dead (mind, body, and soul/spirit). They fail to put this in perpective with John 11, and Martha talking about the Last Day Resurrection for Lazarus. They fail to realize that immortality is given on the last day, that we do NOT have immortal souls today. We are one person mind, body, and spirit (which spirit means breath of God) that when we die all of us is laid in the dirt waiting for the resurrection, while the breath of life goes back to the Lord.

LAST DAY passages

And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

What is the Last day? It is when everything changes. No more life on Earth as we now know it. No more evil and sin to corrupt the God Fearing and obeying people of the Lord. The saved will be removed, and the lost will die and lay where fell until the 2nd resurrection.

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

The Mystery of Resurrection

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

What happens to the ones not caught up in the sky in the 1st Resurrection? That is another story linked below.

**Time explained: The below scripture says that to the Lord 1 day is as 1000 years on earth.

So when appling that understanding on the Last day the Lord will take his obedient to heaven for 1 heavenly day or 1000 earthly years before returning to earth for the final battle.

2 Peter 2Pe 3:8 1000 years = 1 day

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

Our Breath goes back to the Father

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

spirit/soul-breath of life-man and animals have the breath of life

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
