The answer is revealed in scriptures if you are willing to accept what it says verses what we've been taught.
What is more important? What you think you know and believe OR the Truth from the Word of God?
We are taught and told so many lies in life. Don't you want the TRUTH!?
Even IF everything else in our lives continue in deceit LET this be the ONE TRUTH you unvail!
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
g2307 thelema-WILL-- The WILL of the Father is HIS wishes and commands.
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
These verses plainy say that we must DO the WILL of the Father to be considered a mother, brother or sister to Christ AND to be accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven.
What is the WILL of the Father? What are His wishes, commands, or commandments?
We all know what the commandments are, at least the 10 commandments.
FYI every law given is part of the 10 commandments, meaning that the 10 commandments are the column headers and the other commandments can be placed under one of the 10 to better explain what the 10 mean and what is expected.
This world is run and influenced by the prince of darkness, Satan. He has infiltrated and altered every "Christian" sect of believers understanding of scriptures. He has been doing this from the begining of time when he influenced Eve to break the law of God, to transgress his command.
Most people like to believe that their religion is unalterated and pure, the reality is, that is simply untrue.
Have doubts? What does the above verses say? These are statements made by our Messiah himself. Has your religious leader pointed this out to you? Has he told you that we should want to keep the law of the Father. I bet NOT.
When folks question these verses they are told that "we only have to keep the commands that Christ gave us or repeated in the new testament". Which is NOT what Christ said or did. Christ said he is completing the commands he was given by the Father. He went on to teach others the laws of the Father and lived them by example. If Christ intended for us to have that opinion he would have repeated most every law from the old testament and said this is the New Rules to follow.
Example: sexual misconduct with animals and taking the Lord's name in vain are not mentioned in the new testament. Do you consider these things to be sinful? Things the Lord would not be pleased with?
Why do you feel that way? I can tell you, the Lord promised in writting that he would place HIS laws into our hearts. This is why those of us with a conscience have strong feelings about what is right and wrong.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Where does the belief of NOT keeping the law come from? IT comes from the master and father of lies, Satan, Lucifer, the Devil.
Many believe the lie of Christ wiped out the laws upon his death on the cross.
Satan has twisted the minds of good people to misinterpret scriptures including Colossians 2:14. This verse is used to tell us we do not have to keep the law of God as it was nailed to the cross with Christ.
What it says is "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"
Do you believe that every law that the Father gave is against us? Of course you don't, murder, adultery, lying, and theft are His laws, and we all can agree to do these things are bad and evil, RIGHT?
Col 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Col 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Col 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Col 2:19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
Col 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
Col 2:21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
Col 2:22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
Col 2:23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
What about the other laws He gave? Placing the Father first, not bowing to other gods, keeping the Sabbath day holy, are these against us?
What about keeping the Holy days Holy or eating clean meats? are these against us?
NO they aren't...
So What laws were against us?
The ones that pertain to sacrifices and oblations, the need for this one was complete when Christ became the ulitmate Sacrifice and Savior for us.
The ones that pertain to Levetical Priesthood reporting to Priests, tithing, tabernacle rituals. Christ became our High Priest and upon his death the curtain to the Most Holy place in the temple was torn in two showing us this is no longer required. Background: the most holy place was only to be entered by the High Priest one day per year. VERY important process back then.
The ones pertaining to corporal punishment by Christ saying turn the other cheek, and you who are without sin throw the first stone.
The ones pertaining to circumcision on the 8th day of life, As scripture shows that the Lord does not require this action to be saved and blessed with the Holy Ghost.
These are the laws that were nailed to the cross. These are the laws that were against us.
We can't assume that every law was included in the statement made in Colossians 2:14. This would leave us in an anarchy of chaos and lawlessness.
We can't pick and choose which laws we want to keep and not keep. We have to read our Bibles to see which remain to keep and what laws were against us!!
We are told that we should be and live Christ like, and in the same breath told contridicting thoughts and beliefs using text out of context that we do not have to live like Christ did. Eating clean, observing Holy days, keeping the other Laws of the Father. They say to live Christ like simply need to follow their traditions while being a "good person", not the law of the Father. Meaning go to Sunday worship regularly, tithe 10% of your gross income, maybe participate in church functions and chairities, and keep 9 out of the 10 commandments written in stone.
Do you know man's definition of a "good person" will not be measured on Judgement Day?!
How are you being Christ like, if you are not living as Christ lived and taught?
Was Christ sinless? Did he follow the commandments of the Father? YES, this is what makes HIM our Saviour and Messiah.
What did Christ teach? He taught us to keep the laws of the Father. He explained that the Laws AKA commandments of the Father have always had the intent to convey that we need to not only act openly to others a certain way, but also believe the same in our heart and mind inwardly as explained in Matthew 5.
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
Why would Christ say one thing and his disiples say the opposite? We can't start with the testimonies of the disiples using what we think we know and apply it to what Christ said. If we put our faith in Christ we should utterly trust every word from his mouth. Most will use their understanding of the words from the disciples and apostles and then manipulate the words of Christ to bend them to their beliefs.
IF Christ said to DO the WILL of the father, taght it, and lived it then the rest of scriptures will flow with that same doctrine. It would not change from Christ teachings in future writings by others. The concept remains the same as Paul said he delights in the LAW for without it he would not know what sin was.
Why do we believe that christians are opposite or different than jews? Because there again Satan has changed the perception and understanding of the Word. His goal is to have as many of us join him in his fate. He wants us to be miserable in the end like he will be.
Satan must think that once he has billions and billions of humans destined for destruction that he will have a chance at defeating Christ in the final battle, but We all know he won't stand a chance. OR maybe he knows he will loose, he just wants as many partners in disobedience to join him as he can get. Proof they can be turned from the Father and Christ.
Misery loves company.
We all know that we've believed a lie or two in our days. Please don't continue to believe this one. Your eternity is at stake here. Don't be niave to think that your religion hasn't been inflitrated, altered, or changed from the TRUTH!
Generations upon generations have from creation to Christ and Christ till now have been making changes away from the TRUTH. IF we'd, ask for help from the Father, and open our eyes to see, we would recognize this.
The Bible clearly states in both old and new testaments, One Law and One Faith for all people. Native and stranger, Jew and Gentile/Greek. You were only welcomed as a stranger IF you believe and live as the jews did, this was the same testimony in the New testament.
You're almost there! Just a couple more rules, and we will meet in the sky on resurrection day!
It breaks my heart that everyone I know who claim Christ as theirs do not know or do not accept this information. Those I've talked to about it hasn't accepted it as truth, and I fear they won't before they die or Christ comes back.
Those are the only two circumstanes that can happen to prevent you from changing your mind. Once either of those occur your decision is locked in, your fate is sealed.
It doesn't matter what you've done in your life, everyone is able to saved IF they are willing to confess their sins to the Father, ask for forgiveness, believe in Christ, and do the WILL of the Father from that day forward to the best of their ability from their heart and mind.
I know law keeping seems impossible, but most of us keep the majority of the law now. We just need to make some adjustments. We need to want to follow the law of the Father so that we can honor His wishes. The act of keeping the law is NOT enough. We must believe in them also from the heart and mind.
I know that we will make mistakes along the way. None of us are perfect. This is the only time the statement applies "The Lord knows my heart" and means something to the Father. As in the story of David in the Bible. Although he made mistakes, he was genuine in his heart, asking for forgiveness, and continued to keep the laws of the Father even when one was broken along the way.
Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.
